Secondary Schools
At Mercy Vocational High School in Philadelphia, PA, the only four-year co-educational Catholic vocational high school in the United States, students earn a high school diploma and learn marketable skills which enable them to enter into the workforce after graduation with an attitude of service to others.
Six other sponsored secondary schools in the Mid-Atlantic Community – Catherine McAuley School in Brooklyn, NY, Gwynedd Mercy Academy in Gwynedd Valley, PA, Merion Mercy Academy in Merion, PA, Mount Saint Mary Academy in Watchung, NJ, Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosett, NY, and St. Catharine Academy in Bronx, NY — teach young women to be life-long learners, serve people in need, live and act justly in the spirit of Jesus Christ, and follow in the tradition of mercy and service of Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy. Walsingham Academy in Williamsburg, VA, also sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy Mid-Atlantic Community, provides the same outstanding Catholic education in the Mercy tradition to young men and women grades 8 through 12.
