The Sisters of Mercy are an international group of vowed Catholic women who help people who are impoverished, sick, and in need of education, especially women and children. Committed to a life of service, the Sisters of Mercy are known for their collaborative efforts, spirituality, and service to others. The Mid-Atlantic Community includes the former regional communities of Brooklyn, Dallas (PA), Merion (PA), New York, and New Jersey, 1,116 sisters and 881 associates continue the work of Catherine McAuley, the founder of the Sisters of Mercy.
